An important meeting on the economy, energy, and regional situation was chaired by President Zardari. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, provincial leaders, and representatives from Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Kashmir attended.
The meeting reviewed the impact of rising inflation. President Zardari emphasized adopting a coordinated strategy to mitigate inflation effects.
The government stated that despite the global crisis, there is no fuel shortage in the country. The Prime Minister rejected proposals to increase oil prices.
