Lahore: (RightNow). Following the announcement of Basant dates by the Punjab government, advance bookings for rooftops in Lahore have begun. As a result, rooftop rentals have soared to lakhs of rupees.

After the Punjab government’s announcement, the number of people in inner Lahore has increased. Some are booking rooftops for lakhs, while others are inspecting rooftops with their families.

Residents say advance bookings will double the joy of Basant. Meanwhile, rooftop owners have started repairing damaged rooftops.

This occasion holds special significance for Lahoris as it offers a chance to revive traditional Basant celebrations.

It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has gifted Lahoris a 10-day Basant festival for the new year 2027. Basant will be celebrated from January 29 to February 7.
