In New York, Muhammad Aurangzeb highlighted Pakistan’s climate change-affected situation and the need for financial assistance during key meetings. He appealed for cooperation from international institutions.

The Finance Minister noted that floods are damaging Pakistan’s infrastructure and affecting the public. He stressed the need to strengthen disaster management systems further.

He requested expedited financial assistance from Green Climate and Loss and Damage Funds. He also urged the World Bank and Asian Development Bank to provide financial resources.

It is noteworthy that Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced support for the COP31 action agenda. He stated that this agenda aligns with Pakistan’s climate priorities and discussed the digital system.
