Bangkok: (RightNow) Pakistan becomes part of the Global Energy Forum GasTech 2026 after 54 years. The conference is held at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center from September 14 to 17.

According to the organizers, UGDCL is the first Pakistani company to set up a stall at the exhibition. GasTech features 7,000 delegates, 1,000 exhibitors, and representatives from 150 countries.

UGDCL CEO Ghayas Abdullah Paracha stated that the government’s gas allocation policy is a step towards deregulation in the gas sector. The company aims to reduce gas prices through private gas networks.

Ghayas Paracha mentioned that private networks will reduce gas losses and provide cheaper gas to consumers. Additionally, the government will earn revenue from taxes and fees.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s Ambassador to Thailand, Saadia Qazi, visited the UGDCL stall and termed it a significant milestone for the Pakistani business sector.
