Lahore’s Education Department issues notices to 41 schools for poor 9th-grade results.
Lahore: (RightNow) The Education Department has decided to take action against government schools in Lahore due to poor results in the 9th-grade exams. Show-cause notices will be issued to the heads of 41 government schools where the success rate was below 20%.
Sources indicate that explanations for poor performance will be sought from the heads and teachers of these underperforming schools. Their overall performance will also be reviewed to improve educational standards.
According to the Education Department, the success rate for 9th grade was below 20% in approximately 2,200 schools across Punjab. A detailed review of the responsible officers and teachers’ performance will be conducted to prepare a future plan.
It is noteworthy that no student from Government High School Wasanpura passed the 9th grade. In 27 more schools in Lahore, the number of successful students was less than 10.
The Education Department aims to improve educational standards in government schools and identify those responsible for poor performance. This initiative is taken to achieve better student results.
