Islamabad: (RightNow) The government has announced a fresh increase in petroleum product prices. Petrol prices have risen by Rs 3.05, while high-speed diesel has increased by Rs 5.37 per liter.

According to the Petroleum Division’s notification, the new price of petrol is set at Rs 370.80 per liter, and high-speed diesel is priced at Rs 398.04 per liter. These prices will be effective from September 11, 2026.

In the last three days, petrol prices have increased by Rs 12.03 and diesel by Rs 16.27. This marks a 3.35% rise in petrol and a 4.26% increase in diesel prices.

Global crude oil prices are also on the rise. Brent crude has reached $106.60, and WTI is at $101.21 per barrel.

It is important to note that the global increase in oil prices is due to rising tensions in the Middle East and threats to oil supply routes, which could lead to inflation in countries like Pakistan.
