Islamabad: (RightNow) Sajjad Haider Khan has assumed his duties as the new spokesperson for Pakistan’s Foreign Office. In his first news briefing, he informed the media about Pakistan’s stance.

According to the Foreign Office website, Sajjad Haider took charge as spokesperson on September 2, 2026. He also serves as Director General for South Asia and SAARC.

Sajjad Haider Khan joined the Pakistan Foreign Service in 2000. He holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Punjab University.

He has served in various key positions, including Director Africa, Director America, and Director General Parliamentary Affairs.

It is noteworthy that his appointment has been met with joy by the people of Gilgit-Baltistan, who are congratulating him on social media.
