Islamabad: (RightNow) The Islamabad High Court has nullified the single bench decision against Naval Farms and the Naval Sailing Club. The order to demolish the Sailing Club building has also been revoked.

The court has also nullified the decision for misconduct and criminal proceedings against former Naval Chief Zafar Mahmood Abbasi. Justices Inam Amin Minhas and Shahrukh Arjumand approved the appeals against the single bench decision.

The Ministry of Defense and the former Naval Chief had filed appeals against the single bench decision. The court also revoked the Auditor General’s order to estimate the national treasury’s loss.

This decision is significant as it raises questions about the legal status of Naval Farms and the Sailing Club. The court also nullified the order declaring the land transfer of Naval Farms illegal.

It is noteworthy that in 2022, former Chief Justice Athar Minallah had declared Naval Farms and the Sailing Club illegal. The court stated that a detailed decision of the single bench will be issued later.
