Lahore: (RightNow) Tahira Habib Jalib, daughter of renowned poet Habib Jalib, faces economic hardships, selling food on a cart in Model Town Bazaar, but was stopped from working.

Tahira Habib stated that municipal corporation officials initially praised her work but then ordered her to shut down her cart immediately.

Protesting the incident, Tahira posted a video on social media, prompting the Sindh Minister of Culture to take notice and assure support.

This incident highlights that even families of well-known individuals can face economic challenges, while the government’s silence raises questions.

It is noteworthy that Tahira Habib applied for a cart permit at the DC Office Lahore in June, but her request was denied.
