Lahore: (RightNow) The Punjab government has approved Rs 12.52 billion for local elections. This decision was made during the 36th provincial cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

The meeting also approved a special recruitment package for police in Rojhan. Additionally, Rs 1.1 billion was allocated for police in the Kacha area.

Under the ‘Apna Khet, Apna Rozgar’ program, 60 thousand out of 171 thousand applications were approved. The Chief Minister also issued instructions for timely wheat sowing.

The Chief Minister announced the provision of 1100 electric buses in Punjab by December. These buses will offer modern and eco-friendly facilities to citizens.

It is noteworthy that under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s leadership, the Pakistan Muslim League (N) won the Azad Kashmir elections. She stated that the people of Azad Kashmir desire development projects.
