Punjab CM sets March 2027 deadline for Gujranwala Yellow Line completion, enhancing travel facilities.
Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has set a deadline for the completion of the Gujranwala Yellow Line Mass Transit by March 2027. She reviewed the project’s progress in a special meeting.
The meeting revealed that the 31.5-kilometer Yellow Line will include 25 stations, with 2 underground stations. The project also involves the construction of 12 underpasses and a 35-kilometer service road.
Officials reported that one-third of the work is complete, with 1,233 poles and 552 transformers relocated. Work on 15 thousand feet of sewage and 62 kilometers of drainage is ongoing.
The Chief Minister emphasized the protection of trees, ensuring environmental preservation. The meeting also discussed the replantation of 5 thousand trees.
It is important to note that the timely completion of the Gujranwala Mass Transit project is crucial for citizens’ convenience, reducing travel difficulties.
