Islamabad: (RightNow) The Supreme Court has ordered the transfer of Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital within 2 days upon his request. A 3-member bench led by Justice Shahid Waheed has directed the implementation of this order.

The court has instructed the government to consult with Shifa Hospital’s administration to form a medical board. The board will include various specialists along with Dr. Faisal Sultan and Imran Khan’s sister, Dr. Uzma Khan.

The federal government has been ordered to present Imran Khan’s complete medical record, all test reports, and doctors’ opinions in court. Additionally, records of meetings with family and lawyers have been requested.

The court has directed that Imran Khan be allowed weekly meetings with his family. He will also be provided with the facility to speak with his sons twice a week over the phone.

It is important to note that the Supreme Court has issued these orders temporarily, with a decision on legal aspects to be made in the next hearing. The case is scheduled for further hearing on September 16, 2026.
