Lahore Traffic Police begins crackdown on dangerous driving to ensure public safety.
Lahore: (RightNow) Lahore Traffic Police has initiated a crackdown against those treating roads as racing tracks. The CTO Lahore has ordered strict action against dangerous driving and drifting.
According to Lahore Traffic Police, cases are being registered against those performing zigzag driving, road blocking, and dangerous stunts based on social media videos. Police stated that drivers and vehicles are being identified with the help of these videos.
The CTO Lahore reported that cases have been registered in three different incidents. Cases have been filed at Factory Area Police Station, North Cantt Police Station, and Sabzazar Police Station.
The importance of this action is to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives. The CTO emphasized that a zero-tolerance policy will continue against one-wheeling, drifting, and dangerous driving.
It is noteworthy that the CTO Lahore has appealed to parents to engage their children’s talents in constructive activities. Citizens are encouraged to share videos of road rage, road blocking, and drifting via WhatsApp.
