Peshawar: (RightNow) The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet has increased the budget for the Ehsaas Youth Program from 3 billion to 5 billion rupees. This decision was made in the recent cabinet meeting.

The cabinet also approved grants of 188.7 million rupees for model schools in merged districts and 60 million rupees for Langlands School and College in Chitral. This move is considered significant for promoting education.

The cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding between various departments for the education of out-of-school children and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Teachers Appointment and Services Regularization Bill 2026. Under this, temporary teachers’ services will be regularized.

These decisions are crucial for strengthening the educational system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and creating opportunities for youth. These measures are expected to improve education at the local level.

It is noteworthy that the cabinet meeting also approved an exemption from services sales tax for service providers in FATA and PATA, aiming to enhance the business environment there.
