Peshawar: (RightNow) Four historic sites in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been added to UNESCO’s tentative list of world cultural heritage. This development marks global recognition of the province’s cultural heritage.

Provincial Information Minister Shafi Jan has termed it a government success. He stated that this will enhance the importance of the region’s cultural sites.

The UNESCO list includes Bhamala in Haripur, Sethi House and Gor Gathri in Peshawar, and Barikot in Swat. According to Shafi Jan, this move will increase the region’s global cultural identity.

This cultural heritage is a pride of the province and a valuable legacy for future generations. The minister said that under the vision of Imran Khan and the leadership of Chief Minister Suhail Afridi, its protection will continue.

It is noteworthy that the provincial government prioritizes the preservation, restoration, and global introduction of historical heritage.
