Parents Object to Medical Board Change in Mir Raza Murder Case

In Karachi, Mir Raza’s parents object to the change in the medical board for his murder case, demanding the previous board conduct the post-mortem.

Karachi: (RightNow) The medical board for the exhumation of Mir Raza Ali, a young man murdered in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, has been changed again. The previous eight-member board has been reinstated in place of the new five-member board.

According to the order, Dr. Samia Syed has been appointed as the board’s convener. Professor Naseem Ahmed, a pathologist, Dr. Farah Waseem, a forensic expert, and other specialists have been included.

Police state that after the formation of the new medical board, members’ statements are being recorded. Authorities have announced the exhumation will take place tomorrow at 11 AM.

It is important to note that the victim’s parents and lawyer Jibran Nasir have objected to the new board. The parents have questioned the interference in the powers of the Karachi police surgeon.

The parents of Mir Raza had previously demanded from the court that the post-mortem be conducted by the already formed board. The victim’s family has reservations about the formation of the new board.
