Karachi: (RightNow) Additional IG Sindh, Azad Khan, announces strict action against those providing shelter or employment to Afghans. He warns traders against hiring Afghan citizens.

Speaking at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, he states that 8 terrorism incidents occurred in Sindh this year, compared to 37 last year. Street crime has decreased by 15%, and vehicle snatching incidents have dropped by 30%.

Azad Khan adds that Dr. Akash’s case was resolved quickly, and international red warrants have been issued against extortionists. He emphasizes that actions against drugs will be intensified.

He mentions a task force has been formed to prevent encroachments, and there are plans to establish a forensic lab. The police are focusing on acquiring technology and automating the complaint registration process.

It is noteworthy that the President of the Karachi Chamber stated that while law and order have improved, street crime has increased. He emphasized the importance of the Safe City project and suggested improvements to the traffic system.
