Karachi: (RightNow) The second post-mortem report in the Meer Raza case confirms his death was due to a gunshot. All evidence contradicts the possibility of suicide, and the report was compiled after exhumation.

A Sindh police spokesperson stated that the report is being made public in the interest of transparency. The investigative team will review the report to advance the investigation.

The investigative team asserts that the cause of death is a gunshot, with forensic and chemical analyses included.

Lawyer Jibran Nasir has demanded investigations against DIG East and other officials. An appeal has been made to the Chief Minister of Sindh to oversee the inquiry.

It is noteworthy that a judicial commission was formed without informing Meer Raza’s family, and the terms of reference for the investigation were not disclosed to the public.
