New Delhi: (RightNow) A 42-year-old patient died after a ceiling fan fell on him at a major government hospital in India. The patient, identified as Mohammad Akbar, was receiving treatment at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital.

According to local media, Mohammad Akbar was being treated for high blood pressure, meningoencephalitis, and aspiration pneumonia. He died on Saturday night after the ceiling fan fell.

Hospital authorities stated that the patient died a few hours after the fan fell. An investigation has been launched following the incident.

The accident occurred in the presence of hospital staff who were treating the patient at the time. This incident has raised questions about the hospital administration’s performance.
