Mexico City: (RightNow) A 7.4 magnitude earthquake has struck Mexico’s southern state of Chiapas, causing widespread panic. A tsunami warning has been issued following the quake.

The earthquake registered a magnitude of 7.4 and had a depth of 10 kilometers. Neighboring countries have also been affected by the strong tremors.

Authorities have issued a tsunami warning for coastal areas and advised residents to remain cautious.

The tremors were felt in Guatemala and El Salvador as well. Buildings in Guatemala City shook, causing fear among the residents.

It is noteworthy that Venezuela experienced severe earthquakes last month, resulting in significant destruction.
