Research shows women struggle more with fat loss than men due to hormones and body structure.
Islamabad: (RightNow). Losing weight is more challenging for women than men, according to renowned fitness trainer Dina Faheem. She explained in an Instagram video that hormonal differences and body structure are major reasons.
Dina Faheem states that men lose fat quickly when reducing carbohydrates. In contrast, women’s bodies resist this process, making weight loss difficult.
She further explains that testosterone in men converts fat into energy. Conversely, women’s bodies perceive reduced food intake as a threat, storing fat and slowing metabolism.
This issue is significant for women because weight loss methods are generally designed for men. Additionally, women face hormonal changes that hinder weight loss.
It is important to note that women have less muscle mass than men and a different hormonal system. Moreover, weight loss becomes challenging during menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause.
