Gilgit-Baltistan: (RightNow) In constituency GB-16 Diamer 2, PPP candidate Attaullah is declared victorious after the postal ballot count.

Following the count, Attaullah defeated Imam Malik by a margin of 13 votes, securing 6,618 votes compared to Malik’s 6,605.

The postal ballot count was conducted under the Election Act 2017, Section 95, as ordered by the election tribunal, altering the initial result.

Initially, Imam Malik of the Istehkam Pakistan Party was declared the winner, but the PPP candidate challenged the notification.

It is noteworthy that this change increases PPP’s seats to 16, while Istehkam Pakistan Party’s members are now reduced to 6.
