Karachi: (RightNow) An incident of assault on Professor Dr. Arif Khan Saqi, Chairman of the Islamic Learning Department at Karachi University, has occurred. He claims that the attack was carried out by influential Sindh figure Koneen Shah Rashdi and his gunmen.

The incident took place near Safora Chowrangi on Tuesday when Professor Arif was passing by in an online taxi. As a result of the assault, he sustained severe injuries. Police have detained three individuals, but the main suspect, Koneen Shah, remains at large.

According to Sachal Police, a case has been registered on the professor’s complaint. Investigations are ongoing, and the detained individuals are being interrogated.

This incident highlights the growing influence of powerful individuals in Sindh. Public concern is rising, and there is a demand for justice.

It is noteworthy that Koneen Shah Rashdi, owner of Sindh Green Hotel, is related to the family of Pir Pagara. This hotel is also owned by a close relative of a provincial assembly member.
