Heavy rains in Mansehra cause flooding; PDMA issues alert for tourists.
Mansehra: (RightNow) Heavy rains continue for the third day in Mansehra and surrounding areas. The Meteorological Department reports severe flooding in streams and rivers.
According to the department, water flow has increased in the Siran and Kunhar rivers. The weather has turned colder in tourist spots like Naran Valley and Kaghan Valley.
Authorities state that the rain may persist for another two days. The PDMA has issued alerts for cloudbursts, flash floods, and landslides.
Tourists are advised to avoid unnecessary travel due to the rains. Officials recommend staying away from waterways and dangerous areas.
It is noteworthy that in the past, these areas have experienced landslides and flash floods due to rain, affecting tourism.
