New Delhi: (RightNow) Heavy rain has turned Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport into a waterlogged area. Passengers are stranded, and flights are disrupted. Five flights have been diverted to Lucknow Airport.

Due to the intensity of the rain, water has accumulated around the airport, affecting air operations. A passenger stated that they have never witnessed such a scene before.

The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi, advising citizens to remain cautious. Water accumulation in low-lying areas may affect traffic.

This situation is also observed in other parts of Delhi, where reports of waterlogging have emerged. The Meteorological Department forecasts more rain and strong winds.
