Officials report that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the fire at PIMS hospital. Initially, an explosion in the air conditioning unit was cited as the cause.
It is important to note that on August 26, a fire broke out in the nursery of PIMS hospital, resulting in the death of 14 newborns. A high-level committee has been formed to investigate the incident.
Following the incident, government officials expressed condolences and ordered transparent investigations. The safety measures of hospitals are also being reviewed.
