New York: (RightNow) Apple has decided to increase prices for its new iPhone 18 Pro series in September. According to a Bloomberg report, this is the first time Apple’s new devices will be more expensive than last year’s models.

The report states that prices for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max may rise by approximately $100. This increase is due to higher costs for RAM and chips.

Apple officials say the decision was made after reviewing other companies’ pricing strategies. This year, Apple will not introduce the standard iPhone 18 and 18 Air models.

This decision aims to pass on the increased component costs to consumers. Previously, Apple did not raise prices for the iPhone 17 series.

It is noteworthy that Apple is also expected to introduce a foldable iPhone in September. The standard models are anticipated to be launched in early 2027.
