New York: (RightNow) A US judge has overturned the Trump administration’s policy suspending immigrant visas for citizens of 75 countries, including Pakistan.

Manhattan District Judge Janet Vargas stated that the policy exceeded Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s authority.

The State Department’s policy, announced in January, was deemed illegal for violating federal immigration laws.

Citizens from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Brazil, and other nations were affected, as they were considered potential financial burdens in the US.

It is noteworthy that this decision emerged from a lawsuit filed by immigrant rights organizations, and Judge Janet Vargas was appointed by Biden.
