Islamabad: (RightNow) Businesses not linking to the FBR system face fines up to Rs 5 million. Under the Finance Act, strict penalties are set for not integrating with the FBR system for monitoring, tracking, reporting, or maintaining sales and production records.

Under the Finance Act 27-2026, businesses not integrated with the FBR or its computerized system within the specified period will face fines up to Rs 1 million.

If the violation continues a month after the first penalty, a second fine of up to Rs 5 million will be imposed.

This measure aims to improve the national treasury by enhancing transparency in the tax system and increasing business registration.

It is noteworthy that the government has amended the Finance Act to prevent tax evasion and organize the business environment.
