Rabat: (RightNow) Morocco has named its 650-mile coastal highway after U.S. President Donald Trump. This announcement was made under a royal decree by King Mohammed VI.

Arab media reported that the highway from Tiznit to the southern city of Dakhla has been named Donald J. Trump Highway. It is commonly known as the Tiznit-Dakhla Expressway.

The highway spans 655 miles, approximately 1,055 kilometers, and its construction cost is about $1 billion. This project is considered a significant part of economic development.

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed gratitude to King Mohammed VI, stating it is a great honor for him. He also expressed a desire to travel on the highway.

It is noteworthy that Morocco and the United States have strengthened relations in recent years, as reflected in the naming of this highway.
