China calls on the US to respect core interests as preparations for Xi Jinping’s visit are underway.
Beijing: (RightNow) China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi has urged the US to respect China’s core interests. He emphasized the need to manage differences responsibly.
Wang Yi stated after meeting US Secretary of State Marco Rubio that the discussions between the two leaders were constructive and positive, focusing on bilateral relations.
The Chinese Foreign Minister revealed that both countries are preparing for President Xi Jinping’s visit to the US. Both sides have agreed on the next phase of high-level talks.
Beijing has urged Washington to fully adhere to the ‘One China’ policy, which is fundamental to bilateral relations.
