Karachi: (Right Now News) Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu agreed to direct ceasefire talks with Lebanon following a firm phone call from U.S. President Donald Trump. According to Bloomberg, Lebanon was unexpectedly included in the ceasefire deal.

The conversation took place on Thursday, as reported by American and Israeli sources, where Trump urged Netanyahu to reduce attacks against Hezbollah in Lebanon. Following this call, Israel announced direct ceasefire talks with Lebanon.

Netanyahu realized that if he did not engage in direct talks with Lebanon, Trump might independently announce a ceasefire. These talks are being held in Pakistan to advance a fragile ceasefire.

This move comes at a time when the U.S. President announced a two-week ceasefire with Iran, stating that Israeli attacks had weakened this ceasefire.

It is noteworthy that on Wednesday, Israeli attacks resulted in 303 casualties, after which Trump informed Netanyahu about including Lebanon in the ceasefire deal.
