Beijing: (RightNow) China has released a complete image of its secret spacecraft, Shenlong. The image, obtained by the American company Venture, shows the spacecraft’s resemblance to the US Space Force’s X-37B. Shenlong is capable of deploying satellites in space.

Shenlong has completed four orbital missions since 2020. Its latest mission began in February and lasted nine months. This mission was conducted using an unmanned winged spacecraft.

The US Defense Intelligence Agency’s report mentions China’s development of space weapons. The report includes details on directed-energy lasers. However, there is no evidence that Shenlong is equipped with weapons.

The significance of this issue increases as Russia is also attempting to develop satellites capable of carrying nuclear weapons.

It is noteworthy that the space arms race has raised global concerns. Activities by China and Russia could further accelerate this race.
