Iran’s shadow tankers have depleted their oil reserves due to a US blockade, causing a $25 billion loss.
Tehran: (RightNow) According to an American newspaper, Iran’s shadow tankers have run out of crude oil. These tankers were safely stationed in Asian waters, transferring millions of barrels of oil.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Iran was selling this oil to China, earning billions of dollars, but now this floating reserve is depleted. Data firm Kpler states that by mid-October, these reserves were completely empty.
The US Central Command states that this blockade has deprived Iran of $25 billion in oil revenue, impacting Iranian factories and weaponry.
This reserve was part of Iran’s complex system to deliver oil to China despite US sanctions. Iran used shadow tankers to transfer oil near Malaysia and Singapore.
It is noteworthy that at the start of the conflict, Iran had 135 million barrels of oil, which is now completely exhausted. These reserves quickly diminished after the US blockade.
