Karachi: (RightNow) Karachi continues to experience an intense heatwave, with temperatures expected to reach 38°C today. The Meteorological Department reported a high of 39.1°C on Tuesday. Hot and humid conditions are likely to persist.

According to the Meteorological Department, Karachi’s temperature reached 40.7°C on September 21, the highest since September 2017. This month has been exceptionally hot this year.

The Meteorological Department stated that the monsoon season ended earlier than usual in the country. This has resulted in October-like heat in Karachi.

This situation is causing difficulties for Karachi residents. The Meteorological Department warns that due to El Niño effects, October may also remain hot.
