Karachi: (RightNow) Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has decided to resolve pending issues and accelerate the design work of the Karachi Circular Railway (KCR). This decision was made during a meeting with Asian Development Bank’s Country Director, Emma Fan.

During the meeting, the Sindh government and the Asian Development Bank agreed to finalize the terms of reference for KCR. It was also decided to confirm the availability of land for the project.

Chief Minister Sindh stated that the Karachi Circular Railway will bring transformation to the city. Cooperation with the federal government will be sought to resolve land and right-of-way issues.

According to the Chief Minister’s spokesperson, the meeting also discussed development partnerships, urban mobility, education, health, and future projects.

It is noteworthy that the planning of the Karachi Circular Railway aims to solve the city’s transport issues, and this project has been pending for several years.
