Karachi: (RightNow) The Sindh government plans to modernize public transport by acquiring 500 electric buses. The transport department has sent a summary to the cabinet for approval.

Sindh’s Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon stated that after cabinet approval, the new electric buses will operate in various cities of the province. He mentioned that 50 double-decker buses are expected to arrive by November 30.

According to Sharjeel Memon, the Sindh government’s priority is to extend modern transport facilities beyond Karachi. The People’s Bus Service is expanding its routes to introduce new ones.

He said the arrival of these buses will provide better travel facilities for passengers. The launch of the bus service in Qambar Shahdadkot is receiving public appreciation.

It is noteworthy that the electric bus project will be a significant addition to Sindh’s transport system and will help resolve travel issues in urban areas.
