Islamabad: (RightNow) The Goods Transport Supreme Council has halted the delivery of food items and other goods from Karachi to Islamabad due to container seizures. This action has disrupted the supply of essential items.

According to the Chairman of the Goods Transport Supreme Council, transporters are facing heavy losses due to the stoppage of containers. As a result, they have completely halted loading from Karachi.

In Islamabad and Punjab, shipping companies have also stopped container deliveries due to the seizures. Containers have been grounded, further affecting the delivery process.

This situation may cause delays in the supply of food items, leading to difficulties for the public. Business owners are also concerned about the impact of this situation.

It is noteworthy that the Punjab government has requested the deployment of the army and rangers to maintain law and order. This deployment is requested until October 5.
