New York: (RightNow) G7 foreign ministers have demanded Iran immediately stop supplying weapons and support to the Houthis in Yemen. This demand was made in a joint statement following a meeting at the United Nations General Assembly.

The statement included foreign ministers from the UK, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the USA. They strongly condemned the recent Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia, stating that the escalation in Yemen poses a threat to regional security and global trade.

G7 urged the Houthis to cease all military actions and threats against civilian shipping. They stated that Iran’s support is contributing to increased tensions.
