New York: (RightNow) Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has departed for New York to attend the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. During this visit, he will meet with several global leaders.

Accompanied by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Ishaq Dar will participate in key UN activities from September 21 to 25. He will represent Pakistan and present its stance on global issues.

The OIC Contact Group on Jammu and Kashmir meeting will highlight the Kashmir issue. Ishaq Dar will reaffirm Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination.

Ishaq Dar will also chair the Economic Cooperation Organization’s Council of Ministers meeting. Additionally, he is expected to attend the annual OIC Foreign Ministers’ Coordination Meeting.

It is noteworthy that Ishaq Dar will present Pakistan’s position in support of the Palestinian people at the Group of Eight Arab and Islamic Countries meeting. He will also actively participate in the pandemic prevention meeting.
