Riyadh: (RightNow) The Saudi-led military coalition announced that a ballistic missile launched by Yemen’s Houthi group towards Riyadh was intercepted and destroyed mid-air. This operation took place on Saturday morning, with Saudi air defense successfully thwarting the missile.

Spokesperson Major General Turki Al-Maliki stated that the Houthis also attempted to target Bisha, Taif, Farasan, and Yanbu. However, Saudi air defenses foiled all attacks, ensuring no damage occurred at any location.

According to international news agencies, explosions were heard in Riyadh, and clouds of smoke were seen near King Khalid International Airport. Fortunately, there were no casualties reported.

Houthi spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed they targeted significant sites in Riyadh and Yanbu. He also mentioned attacks on Aramco facilities with missiles and drones, but no further evidence was provided.
