Riyadh: (RightNow) Saudi Arabia has significantly reduced crude oil supply to Europe due to alleged drone attacks by Iraqi militias. These attacks targeted the main pipeline in the Red Sea, causing oil prices to rise in European markets.

Saudi Arabia has accused Iraqi militias of the attacks and has shut down its East-West pipeline. This closure has affected oil loading at the Yanbu port, leading to the cancellation of September shipments.

According to trade sources, Saudi Arabia is now attempting to increase oil exports through the Strait of Hormuz. Saudi Aramco has not commented on the situation.

Following the reduction in Saudi supply, Poland’s oil company Orlen has issued emergency tenders to purchase oil from other countries. According to an Orlen spokesperson, their refineries continue to receive raw materials.

It is important to note that this disruption has also led to an increase in Brent crude oil prices in the international market, potentially deepening the global energy crisis.
