US company Power US signs a drone purchase agreement with Pakistan, receiving an initial order to enhance technology cooperation.
Islamabad: (RightNow) US drone manufacturer ‘Power US’ has announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Pakistan and receiving an initial order. The agreement was finalized on Wednesday, but the company did not disclose details about drone technology or financial terms.
Brett Velicovich stated that the aim is to combine the best technologies of the US and Pakistan. The company is exploring possibilities for technology development in Pakistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), a delegation from Power US met at the General Headquarters (GHQ). Detailed discussions were held on cooperation in defense procurement and production.
ISPR reported that Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized the importance of modern technology in national security and defense capabilities. However, the MoU was not directly mentioned.
It is noteworthy that this development occurs amid growing relations between the US and Pakistan. Power US is undergoing a merger with an American business entity, which includes investments from Trump’s sons.
