Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz orders legal action against teachers for poor exam results, mandates subject specialists in schools.
Lahore: (RightNow) Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has decided to take legal action against teachers over poor exam results. In a meeting, Maryam Nawaz expressed dissatisfaction with the ninth-grade results.
During the meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, it was agreed to link student results with teacher performance. A decision was made to initiate legal action and introduce a new ordinance for poor results.
Maryam Nawaz ordered the presentation of a reforms plan next week. Immediate action was directed for results below 20% in ninth grade.
The Chief Minister proposed rewards for schools with excellent results. She instructed the appointment of subject specialists in government schools.
It is noteworthy that a monitoring app and evening coaching have also been decided. Performance reports of outsourced schools have been requested.
