Karachi: (RightNow) The Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association has objected to the relief scheme’s procedure and refused to supply fuel.

Vice Chairman Anwar Kamal stated in a press conference that the scheme was prepared without consulting dealers, making the current procedure difficult to implement.

He further mentioned that direct relief should be given to the public, as dealers’ investments are already affected by inflation, and dues from oil marketing companies are pending.

Anwar Kamal emphasized that it is inappropriate to burden dealers with the financial cost of the relief scheme, and they demand an increase in their margin.

It is noteworthy that the government has provided a subsidy of 20 liters for 2 and 3-wheeler vehicles and 30 liters for vehicles up to 800 cc.
