Islamabad: (RightNow) Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced free SMS registration for the PM Special Relief Scheme’s petrol subsidy. This decision aims to facilitate citizens in registering for subsidy relief.

Under the scheme, owners of motorcycles, rickshaws, and vehicles up to 800cc will receive subsidies. The subsidy scheme for Islamabad residents will start on the night of September 14 and 15, while the rest of the country will receive relief from the night of September 16 and 17.

The Prime Minister has instructed the administration to remain in the field to guide the public. The Chief Commissioner and IG Islamabad have also been directed to assist citizens in registration.

Shahbaz Sharif has urged public representatives and volunteers to be active. He stated that volunteers will help the public register for the subsidy scheme.

It is noteworthy that the Prime Minister has directed a media awareness campaign for this scheme to ensure maximum participation.
