London: (RightNow) Pakistan cricket team faces a major setback after losing the Test series to England. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined Pakistani players 50% of their match fees for a slow over rate in the third Test match in Birmingham.

Pakistan violated regulations by bowling 11 overs short of the required number. Additionally, 11 points have been deducted from Pakistan’s World Test Championship cycle. England defeated Pakistan by 8 wickets in the Birmingham Test.

Pakistan’s Test ranking has dropped further. After losing the home series to England, the Pakistani team has fallen to the last position on the World Test Championship points table.

Australia leads the World Championship, followed by South Africa, New Zealand, India, and England in second, third, fourth, and fifth places, respectively.
