Karachi: (RightNow) KE has restored power to the Dhabeji Pumping Station after a 17-hour outage. The restoration has improved water supply.

According to the Water Corporation spokesperson, power has been restored to one feeder of the Third Phase, Fourth Phase, and K-3 Pump House. However, one feeder of the K-3 Pump House remains without power.

KE continues efforts to restore power to the remaining feeder of the K-3 Pump House. This step is crucial for full water supply restoration.

As power was restored, 8 out of the 10 affected pumps were reactivated. The restoration of these pumps has improved water supply, benefiting the public.

It is important to note that a major breakdown occurred yesterday at 6 AM due to a cable fault. This breakdown led to the deactivation of 10 out of 21 pumps at Dhabeji.
