Lahore: (RightNow) Under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, an e-bike scheme has been launched in Lahore to empower students, especially women. Scooter training schools have also been established to specifically empower women.

A spokesperson stated that five driving training schools have been set up for students’ convenience. On the instructions of the CTO Lahore, Gen-Z scooter counters have been activated at all license centers.

Students must bring their ID card or Form B along with a guardian to obtain a scooter license. Over 172,000 motorcycle licenses have been issued so far.

Scooter training is available at Abshar Driving School, Liberty Khidmat Markaz, and Greater Iqbal Park in Lahore. Schools have also been established at Traffic Police Lines Manawan and LOS Ferozepur Road.

It is noteworthy that thousands of women have become confident drivers through Lahore Traffic Police’s driving schools. A women-to-women service is being provided, playing a significant role in their empowerment.
