Karachi: (RightNow) Chery Master Pakistan announces the launch of the Chery Q electric car at the Pakistan Auto Show 2026. Designed for urban travel and daily commuting, the company will reveal the car’s price and booking details on September 18.

The launch of Chery Q comes at a time when the new energy vehicle market in Pakistan is rapidly growing. In the fiscal year 2025-26, the sector saw a 392% increase, making up 15% of the automobile market.

The Chery Q is equipped with a 42.7 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 400 km on a single charge. It features advanced driver assistance systems and other modern amenities.

The company states that the annual energy costs of Chery Q will be lower compared to traditional petrol vehicles. With additional solar power charging, the expenses are estimated to be around 30 thousand rupees annually.

It is noteworthy that Pakistan imported 17 gigawatts of solar PV capacity in 2024, boosting rooftop solar usage. Households can use excess solar power for charging electric vehicles.
